  • Child Safeguarding Policy

Purpose:

Safe Horizon Consulting Limited is committed to protecting all children from abuse, exploitation, neglect, and violence in all programs, trainings, consultancy assignments, and organizational activities.

Policy Statement:

All staff, consultants, volunteers, and partners working with Safe Horizon have a responsibility to safeguard children and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times.

  • Child safeguarding training for staff and partners

2. Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Policy

Purpose:

To prevent sexual exploitation and abuse by staff, consultants, and partners and ensure safe reporting and response mechanisms.

Policy Statement:

Safe Horizon has zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse. Any staff, consultant, or partner found engaging in PSEA will face disciplinary action and contract termination.

Key Commitments:

Zero tolerance for SEA

No exchange of money, employment, goods, or services for sex

No sexual relationships with beneficiaries

Mandatory reporting of SEA concerns

Confidential complaints mechanisms

Survivor-centered response

Staff training on PSEA

Clear investigation procedures

3. Code of Conduct

Purpose:

To establish standards of behavior for all Safe Horizon staff, consultants, and partners.

All staff and consultants must:

Treat all people with respect and dignity

Not engage in any form of abuse, exploitation, harassment, or discrimination

Follow child safeguarding and PSEA policies

Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary information

Avoid conflicts of interest

Use organizational resources responsibly

Report any safeguarding or protection concerns

Maintain professional boundaries with beneficiaries

Staff must not:

Engage in sexual exploitation or abuse

Engage in child labor or child abuse

Use physical punishment or violence

Exchange money or favors for services from beneficiaries

Share confidential information without permission

4. Data Protection and Confidentiality Policy

Purpose:

To ensure personal and sensitive information is collected, stored, shared, and managed safely and confidentially.

Policy Statement:

Safe Horizon is committed to protecting personal data and confidential information of beneficiaries, staff, and partners.

Key Principles:

Data is collected only when necessary

Informed consent must be obtained before collecting personal data

Personal data must be stored securely

Only authorized staff can access sensitive data

Data sharing must follow confidentiality protocols

Case management data must be anonymized when shared

Electronic data must be password protected
